ARC Services participates in OSHA’s Fall Prevention Stand-Down in Construction annually. ARC takes the safety of its employees seriously and, as part of our culture, participates in activities and events such as this one. Across the company, all sites shall participate in fall prevention training and share workplace fall prevention experiences from May 5th through the 9th.
Falls are the leading cause of death on job sites. For 2025, the message is loud and clear: fall hazards are preventable. Employers are responsible for providing their employees with the training and equipment necessary to protect them from a fall, and employees must follow their training.
Falls account for nearly one-third of all construction fatalities. Most come from roofs, ladders, and scaffolding. Each one is preventable with the right training and equipment. Participating in this Stand-Down shows the company’s commitment to its workers’ health and safety.
Some topics that should be discussed include using a personal fall arrest system (PFAS), pre-inspection of the PFAS, ladder and scaffold safety, pre-planning the work, and ensuring a rescue plan is in place.
