Business Development Director

Texas Gulf Coast Region

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development professional with a proven track record of cultivating and closing new business with industrial customers in the Texas Gulf Coast region. The Business Development Director will develop and implement a sales strategy and is responsible for identifying, securing and delivering signed project engagements in the petrochemical, oil and gas, and process industries. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of deal origination and acquisition and existing relationships with key decision makers.


We are ARC Energy Services, a veteran-owned contractor providing specialty welding, field machining, heat treating, non-destructive examination, and engineered rigging solutions to companies in the power and process industries. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed sales professional to accelerate our growth and expansion in the region.


  • Build and maintain client relationships with appropriate middle and senior management executives in customer organizations and with strategic partners. Assist ARC leadership with developing deep client relationships.

  • Stay informed of customers' present and future plans for growth, projects, and programmatic and technical requirements.

  • Organize and lead company capabilities presentations with customers.

  • Participate in industry and client organizations, trade shows, etc. as a strategic part of client development.

  • Monitor market conditions, innovations and trends, and competitors' performance, pricing and sales strategies to maximize competitive stance.

  • Define and implement a regional sales plan.

  • Maintain infrastructure and systems to support the success of the business development program using Salesforce and other tools.

  • Be responsible for detailed and accurate sales and revenue forecasts (including secured and potential sales, strategic opportunities, competitive analysis, course corrections, market trends, etc.).



  • BS or BA Degree in Construction, Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • 10-15 years of experience developing new business with industrial clients with established industry contacts in the Texas Gulf Coast region.

  • Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and to cultivate client relationships.

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and senior decision makers. Articulate and concise in describing opportunities, and associated risk/benefit scenarios.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce.

  • Demonstrated initiative and intensity in pursuit of new work; serves as the internal advocate for a prospect.

  • Self-directed, requires limited daily supervision or guidance.

  • Responsive to internal and external customers with consistent follow-up and follow-through.
